Hundreds
of candidates who wrote the 2016 universities matriculation examination
yesterday in Lagos protested against the Joint Admissions and
Matriculation Board (JAMB) and its registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde,
alleging deliberate reduction of marks to make admission difficult for
them.
Armed with placards, the candidates demanded the immediate sack of Ojerinde by the federal government. They accused the professor of marking down about 750 students among the 1.8 million that sat for the examination to pave way for private universities.
