The young man who designed a car and the Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state.
Reports say Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has awarded a scholarship to Bashir Aliyu, a young, brilliant car designer.
The scholarship which was announced on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, was for the young man to study automotive design in the United States.

Malam Imam Imam, the governor’s spokesperson, who issued a statement earlier today, said the governor has already directed the ministry for higher education and the state scholarship board to work out the process that will ensure the youngster’s admission to any college to further his studies in America.
While receiving Aliyu in his office today, Tambuwal said his administration “will continue to support exceptional students to further their education in order achieve their objectives.
“Having produced world-class car designer in the person of Jelani Aliyu, Sokoto is blessed with brilliant indigenes whose talents would be tapped and nurtured for the progress and development of the state.
“Our choice of United State is obvious. Jelani Aliyu is based there and we expect him to be a mentor to you to achieve your objectives in life.”
This is certainly not the first time such ingenuity has been discovered in the country as only a few weeks ago, Naij.com discovered two teenage Igbo boys who produced a helicopter by themselves.
The youngsters, who were both students of a Government Technical College, were at the funeral ceremony of Senator Chris Ngige’s late dad in Alor, Anambra state, and prayed to have sponsors who could help them get even better with their discovery.
