Nigeria’s u-23 youngster, Oghenekaro Etebo,
has disclosed that he will join a European club before the end of
January 2016, but refused to mention the club.
The Warri Wolves player who was named CAF Most Promising Talent, as
he helped Nigeria win the u23 Africa Cup of Nations in Senegal scoring
five goals, posited that all logistics had been concluded.
He said: “This January I will move to Europe, everything has been agreed, but I won’t disclose the name of the club yet.”
There were reports that several clubs in North Africa including
Esperance of Tunisia are making frantic efforts to land the striker.
Meanwhile, Borrusia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has won the 2015 African player of the year award.
The Gabon front man beat off competition from Manchester City’s Yaya
Toure and Swansea City’s Andre Ayew who had excellent years of their
own.
Aubameyang has been one of Europa’s deadliest strikers this season
scoring twenty seven goals in twenty seven games in all competitions.
